Why did you start your business?
I became interested in mediation after acting for a landlord and also on another occasion on behalf of a retailer.
What’s the story behind your business?
I set up CP Mediations to help facilitate disputes between parties and I felt this was a way of giving back.
What are the benefits of your products and services?
Mediation is a cost-effective solution to resolving issues and is much less expensive than going to litigation through the courts. It is also swifter and enables each party to discuss issues to obtain a mutually acceptable solution.
How do you help your customers?
To resolve issues amicably, swiftly and professionally at a cost-effective price at a timetable to suit them.
What is unique about you and your business?
I have 30 years + commercial property experience and I have been to mediation acting for both landlord and tenant, so I know what is involved. I am a National Accredited Mediator and trained in on-line mediation.
Why are you passionate about your area of work?
I enjoy helping people to resolve disputes and by careful facilitation, I can assist both parties to maintain a professional relationship for the future.
How do you keep yourself and your team motivated?
I ensure that I exercise regularly, playing 6 a side football, attending bootcamp, kayaking and walking our dog, Roxy. I enjoy networking both socially and in business, which keeps me up to date with the world.

Why do you think small businesses are so important to the local communities and Australian economy?
Because SME’s make up a high proportion of business in Australia, it is important that small business is supported by the community.
Who inspires you and why?
My wife inspires me as she has been through many medical problems and still comes out fighting with a positive attitude. She has had Acute myeloid leukaemia, a stroke, thyroid removed, ACL, hip problems and heart issues.
