HORNSBY CHAMBER ARTICLE (April 2021)
A UNIQUE PLACE TO GET BUSINESS ADVICE
By Anne Kenyon, President, Hornsby Chamber of Commerce
With special thanks to the Bush Telegraph
What we love about our Chamber of Commerce events is the wide variety of experience our members have and the enormous wealth of advice that we have to call upon.
This was displayed at a recent event when we talked with two new members who have both started their businesses within the last 6 months in completely different fields.
They had both come from corporate jobs where they worked as employees, so the steps they have needed to make to become
business owners were huge, particularly in their mindset where they are now completely responsible for every aspect of their business.
Listening to some of our more experienced members give their helpful advice was a perfect example of the unique environment we have at the Chamber. A place where business owners come to connect and grow together, to receive support amongst a community of like-minded people.
The challenges of running your own business are unique and the best place you can go to get advice is from people who are where you want to be… and if we don’t have the answer, we will know someone who will be able to help you.
